What is Broswhodine?
Broswhodine brings you reviews of vegetarian dishes from all over the world but with a heavy focus on London. You’ll also find the occasional drink, be it a cocktail, coffee or glass of wine. Founded in December 2015 in the queue for the Eggbreak pop-up, it gives you my honest opinion on the food I eat be it from the side of the road all the way up to a 3 Michelin star restaurant.
Who is Broswhodine?
My name is Sachin Kotecha and I am a 25 year old who was born and raised in London and now working in the DR Congo. I haven’t always been a foodie but a slice of pizza from Eataly in New York in 2012 blew my mind and since then I have been hooked to all things food, constantly trying new dishes and on the lookout for new establishments to visit. Besides food, I am an avid reader, car enthusiast and traveller. So far, I have visited 38 countries across 6 continents and hope to share all these foreign food related adventures with you.
What equipment do you use?
I am by no means a professional with a camera and so my kit is pretty simple. Photos are taken with either my Nikon D3100 with the included 18-55mm lens or then my iPhone 6s plus. Additional lighting is courtesy of the Aputure AL-M9 Mini LED. The majority of the videos you see on my website and Instagram page are shot by David Garcia from 10ft Tall who uses a Sony α7S II along with a whole suitcase full of other professional equipment.
Does being a food blogger mean you put on weight?
Touch wood it’s not been all that bad so far but there have definitely been times where I have eaten an unnecessary amount purely out of intrigue rather than need and it has shown on the scales.
Do you have a favourite restaurant, dish or drink?
This is just far too difficult a question to answer, it’s like asking a parent to pick their favourite child, it’s just not going to happen. What I do have though is the BWD Series where I write about all my favourites, for example my favourite coffee shops in the city.
